WhistlePig 10 Year Small Batch Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Vermont, aged for ten years and bottled at 50% (100 proof). The mash bill is 100% rye. This bottle is a 3 litre Double Magnum.
The nose has fresh mint and dill with caramel, vanilla bean and a little oak. On the palate, a firm rye spice runs alongside butterscotch, toasted oak, and bright citrus zest. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice, honey and gentle oak tannins.
