This is a 15 year old straight rye whiskey from WhistlePig in Vermont, made from 100% rye and aged in oak barrels. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
The nose combines caramel, vanilla and dried fruit with hints of cinnamon and oak. On the palate there is toffee, butterscotch and baking spices, with a subtle smokiness and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with sweetness and spice in balance.
