WhistlePig 18 Year Old Double Malt is a straight rye whiskey matured for 18 years in virgin oak. The mash bill is 79% rye, 15% malted rye and 6% malted barley, and it is bottled at 92 proof (46%).
On the nose it is sweet and aromatic, with toasted oak, berries and nutmeg. The palate is elegant and spicy, mildly fruity and floral, with vanilla and oak appearing over time. The finish is long, clean and spicy.
