WhistlePig 25 Year Badonkadonk is a Vermont single malt whiskey, distilled and matured at WhistlePig in Shoreham. It is bottled at 46.3% (92.6 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
After 25 years of maturation, it was finished in Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, in a collaboration with Silver Oak Cellars.
The nose offers stone fruit compote, dried apricot, cedar shavings, vanilla bean and honeyed figs. The palate brings butterscotch, candied orange peel, toasted almonds, dark chocolate and wine-soaked cherries. The finish is very long, with cedar, baking spices, dried fruit and subtle tannins.
