WhistlePig Boss Hog XII Feather & Flame is a limited-edition rye whiskey from WhistlePig Farm in Vermont, in a 750ml bottle.
The rye was aged first in new American oak, then finished in Pulque Curado de Cacao barrels, which add chocolate, spice and earthy notes to the grain character.
On the palate come dark cocoa, toasted oak and dried fruit, with a lingering warmth. It is suggested neat, with a little water if a softer edge is wanted.
