WhistlePig Farmstock Beyond Bonded Rye is a single-barrel rye made entirely from grain grown on the distillery's own farm in Shoreham, Vermont. The mash bill is 100% rye, using Danko and Remington varieties, and the whiskey was aged for four years or more in new Vermont Estate Oak, going beyond the four-year bonded minimum. It is bottled at 50.05% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The rye, the water and the oak all come from the 500-acre farm in Vermont's Champlain Valley.
The tasting notes describe a bold, spicy whiskey with cracked pepper, cinnamon bark and caraway, rounded by vanilla, honey and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with rye spice, oak and dark brown sugar.
