A six-year-old rye from WhistlePig of Vermont, in a 75cl bottle. It is made from 100% rye and was created with cocktails in mind. Dave Pickerell returned to the warehouses in summer 2018 to bring it together, and it is bottled at the strength he considered ideal.
The nose has fresh cinnamon and black peppercorn, with hints of tangerine and grapefruit zest. The palate is powerfully spicy, with cocoa, cardamom and cured leather. The finish is long, with baking spices, vanilla and hints of citrus.
