A six-year-old rye whiskey from WhistlePig, made from 100% rye and created by Dave Pickerell with cocktails in mind. It was bottled at the strength he considered ideal.
The nose has fresh cinnamon and black peppercorn, with a hint of tangerine and grapefruit zest. The palate is powerfully spicy, with cocoa, cardamom and cured leather.
The finish is long, with baking spices, vanilla and hints of citrus.
