This is a single barrel of WhistlePig PiggyBack 100% rye whiskey, selected by KFC Radio as part of the Barstool Barrel series. They set out to find a smoky, spicy rye after trying several barrels.
It is a limited edition bottling from a single barrel.
The nose is likened to a mountain lodge, with oak timber and mahogany furniture. The palate brings freshly ground cinnamon, allspice and roasted cedar, with a soft note of holiday cookie. The finish carries very subtle brown sugar.
