This is a limited edition of WhistlePig 10 Year Old rye, bottled at 100 proof and presented in a ceramic Piggybank decanter. The decanter is dressed in red, white and blue to mark the 250th birthday of the USA. It holds one litre.
The nose is of antique dried cedar with nutmeg, cinnamon and candied ginger. On the palate, vanilla extract and butterscotch give way to crushed black pepper. The pepper stays into the finish before softening into sweet baked cinnamon spice.
