WhistlePig Snout to Tail Toasted is a 10 year old bourbon bottled at 44% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is finished in toasted barrels, and the Snout to Tail name refers to a whole-process approach to making whiskey.
On the nose it is usually described as caramelised brown sugar, toasted oak and vanilla bean, with roasted nuts, cinnamon and orange zest. The palate is full and velvety, with caramel, maple syrup, dark toffee, spiced apple and dried fig, plus gentle smoke and charred oak.
The finish is long and warming, with toasted marshmallow and dark chocolate.
