WhistlePig The BigSheBang 30 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 45.2%)

The BigSheBang is a 30 year old single malt from WhistlePig, bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 75cl bottle without chill filtration. It is the last of the brand's aged single malt trilogy, which began with The Béhôlden at 21 years and The Badönkådonk at 25. The whiskey was distilled in 1995 in Nova Scotia, Canada, and matured for 30 years in American oak. It then spent about a month in Vin Santo barrels, which held the Tuscan dessert wine. It is a single barrel release from fewer than four barrels, each bottle hand-numbered and boxed in wood. The nose is honeyed bread, wheat crust, florals and honeysuckle. The palate brings clove, kneaded dough, toasted almond and dark chocolate, with big berry notes from the Vin Santo, and the finish is toasted cedar with lingering sweetness.
