White Heather 15 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no added colour. Master Distiller Billy Walker married it at The GlenAllachie Distillery from 47% malt whisky, from Speyside, the Highlands and Islay, and 53% grain whisky.
It spent 12 years in American oak and sherry butts, then three more in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheons and virgin American oak. The brand was relaunched in 2021.
The nose has heather honey, butterscotch, orange peel, pineapple, mint and a hint of peat. The palate brings treacle, grapefruit, almonds, mocha, ginger and light peaty smoke. The finish is moreish and lingering, with chocolate-cream wafer, angelica and salt.
