White Heather 15 Year Old is a limited edition blended Scotch whisky from Billy Walker, master distiller at GlenAllachie. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring and without chill-filtering.
The blend uses 47% single malt, together with grain whisky, from the Highlands, Islay and Speyside. It then spent a further three years in a mix of American and Spanish oak, including Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheons and American virgin oak.
The nose offers heather honey and caramel, with orange peel, pineapple, mint and a touch of peat. The palate has syrup, butterscotch and grapefruit, and the finish brings mocha, ginger and light peat smoke.
