White Heather 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

White Heather 15 Year Old is a blended Scotch bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from Billy Walker, GlenAllachie's master distiller, who began in whisky as a blender and relaunched the White Heather brand in 2021. The blend uses single malt and grain whiskies from the Highlands, Islay and Speyside, with a high proportion of malt. It was matured in American and Spanish oak casks and rested for a further three years so the flavours could marry. The nose brings heather honey, butterscotch, orange peel, pineapple, mint and a hint of peat. On the palate come treacle, heather honey and butterscotch, then orange peel, grapefruit, almonds, mocha and ginger.
