White Heather 21 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl, 48%)

White Heather 21 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, in a run of 2,000 bottles. Master distiller Billy Walker blended it for the GlenAllachie Distillers Company, which bought the White Heather brand in 2017. Single malt and grain whiskies from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay spent 18 years in first-fill American casks, sherry butts, and second-fill casks and hogsheads. After blending at the GlenAllachie distillery, with an unusually high share of single malt, the whisky matured for three more years in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheons and Appalachian virgin oak. It is described as balancing the soft peat of Islay, Speyside fruit, the heather-honey sweetness of the Highlands and a full-bodied grain base.
