This White Horse is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1970s, in a 75cl bottle at 40%. The story begins in 1880 with the whisky merchants James Logan Mackie & Co. Four years later the company bought a stake in Lagavulin on Islay, where James's nephew Peter Mackie learned distilling and blending. He joined in 1890 and launched the White Horse blend the following year. The company became White Horse Distillers in 1924 and joined DCL in 1927. Its blend was eventually limited to export markets, and Diageo dissolved the company in 2010.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
