A blended Scotch whisky from White Horse, bottled in the 1970s at 40% ABV in a large 454cl bottle, the equivalent of a gallon. The label reads Fine Old Scotch Whisky and records that it was distilled, blended and bottled in Scotland by White Horse Distillers Ltd. The brand grew out of the whisky merchants James Logan Mackie & Co., founded in 1880. Within four years the firm had taken a stake in Lagavulin on Islay, where James Mackie's nephew Peter learned distilling and blending. He joined the company in 1890 and launched the White Horse blend a year later. The company became part of DCL in 1927, three years after his death.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
