This is a rye-mash whiskey from the Widow Jane distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn, in a 75cl bottle at 45.5% ABV.
It is aged in full-size American oak barrels with new oak staves added, then proofed with limestone mineral water from the Rosendale Mines. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose brings cardamom, rum raisin, pineapple, orange peel and sugar cane. On the palate there are caramel, clove, orange, vanilla and cinnamon over a spicy rye backbone, and the finish is full-bodied, with burnt orange and spice.
