Widow Jane Oak & Apple Wood Aged is a whiskey distilled from a rye mash at Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn. It is bottled at 45.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle, non-chill filtered and proofed with limestone mineral water from the Rosendale Mines in upstate New York.
The whiskey is aged in once-used bourbon barrels together with fresh-cut applewood staves.
Tasting notes describe apple cider, clover honey and orange peel on the nose, brown sugar, vanilla and baked apple on the palate with rye spice and white pepper, and a long finish of crisp apple and Demerara sugar.
