Wild Turkey 101 is a Kentucky bourbon in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 50.5% ABV. The mash bill is rich in corn, with rye adding a little spice and malted barley a light creaminess.
It is aged for at least six years in new, charred American oak barrels.
The nose is vanilla and caramel with nutmeg and black pepper. The palate opens with sweet vanilla, then moves to earthier notes of leather and tobacco, and the finish is lingering and lightly spicy.
