Wild Turkey – Diamond Anniversary Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45.5%)

Wild Turkey Diamond Anniversary is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It marks Jimmy Russell's 60 years at the Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, and his son Eddie Russell chose the whiskies for it. The bourbon is a blend of straight bourbons aged between 13 and 16 years, made on a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. It was released in 2014 as a limited edition of 36,000 bottles, each in a wooden presentation box. The nose offers dark caramel, seasoned oak, cinnamon, vanilla and bitter orange peel. On the palate come silky caramel and honeyed peach, then toffee, baking spice and candied orange. The finish is long and warm, with polished oak and clove.
