Wild Turkey – Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon

Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg. Each bottle comes from an individual barrel rather than a blend of casks, so it reflects that one barrel's maturation and character. The bourbon is made from a mash bill high in corn, with rye and malted barley, and aged in new charred American oak. It is bottled at barrel strength, uncut and unfiltered. On the nose there is caramelised brown sugar, toasted oak and vanilla bean, with dried fruit, orange zest and baking spice beneath. The palate is full-bodied, opening with deep caramel and toffee before moving to molasses.
