Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is made at the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg.
The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The bourbon is aged for 8 to 9 years in new charred American oak, with barrels entering at a low proof so that little water is needed to reach bottling strength.
The nose has rye spice, cinnamon, caramel, wild honey and tobacco smoke, with orange peel. The palate is warm and full-bodied, with nutmeg, brown sugar, leather, toasted pecans and honey. The finish is long, with vanilla, mint, black pepper and toasted oak.
