Wild Turkey – Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (70cl)

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Wild Turkey, in a 70cl bottle. It was first created by Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Famer Eddie Russell under the name Wild Turkey 81. The whiskey is a blend of bourbons matured in American oak casks known as No.4 Alligator, a name that comes from the glossy, rough surface left inside the staves by a 55-second charring. In the glass it is a pale amber. The nose is spicy and woody with rye and vanilla, while the palate is rich and dense with caramel, honey and custard. The finish turns lightly peppery.
