Wild Turkey – Rare Breed Barrel Proof Rye Whiskey (75cl, 56.1%)

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle, made at the Wild Turkey Distilling Co. in Lawrenceburg. It is bottled uncut at barrel proof, 56.1% ABV, and is non-chill filtered. Master Distiller Eddie Russell blends it in small batches from rye aged four, six and eight years, using a mash bill of 51% rye, 37% corn and 12% malted barley, matured in new charred American oak. It is the first permanent super-premium rye in the Wild Turkey family. The nose opens sweet, with caramel apple, honey and vanilla over rye spice and charred oak. The palate moves from caramel and fruit to wood and rye spice, and the finish is smooth and long, with spice, dried fruit and fading warmth.
