Wild Turkey Rare Breed is a barrel-proof bourbon at 58.4% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It blends 6, 8 and 12 year old whiskies from the distillery's rickhouses, with no water added before bottling. The mash bill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley.
The nose opens with toasted caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and baked apple over a floral background. The palate is sweet and spicy, with brown sugar, maple syrup, honey and rye spice, then toffee, fig, leather and molasses. The finish is medium to long, with sweet oak, citrus peel and a little liquorice.
