Wild Turkey – Rye 'Josi's Pick' Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl)

This is a single barrel of Wild Turkey straight rye, selected by Josi for Tachi Palace's whiskey programme. It is distilled at a low entry proof, aged in new American oak with Wild Turkey's number 4 'alligator' char, and bottled with only slight dilution from the barrel. The mash bill sits just above the 51% rye minimum. The nose opens with caramel, sweet corn, vanilla and red licorice, with a little grainy malt and a touch of smoky ash. On the palate, herbal rye spice sits against caramel and vanilla, with cold black tea, orange peel and clove. The long finish moves from caramel to wood, sweet grain and dark fruit.
