This is a cask strength single barrel bourbon from Wilderness Trail Distillery in Kentucky, from the Family Reserve range. It comes from barrel #779459 and has aged for four years and nine months. The mash bill is sweet, with 64% corn, 24% wheat and 12% malted barley. It is bottled at 55.7% ABV (111.40 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The nose has caramel, honeyed wheat and toasted oak. On the palate come baked orchard fruit, vanilla and warm baking spice, in a full-bodied, warming style.
