Wilderness Trail Family Reserve Single Barrel Rye is a four-year-old rye whiskey from a single barrel, bottled at cask strength in a 750ml bottle. It was matured in #4 alligator char oak. Wilderness Trail ferments each sweet-mash batch with fresh yeast, without adding backset from an earlier distillation. The distillery says this approach puts the emphasis on grain character, and that its whiskies are distilled, aged and bottled at its Danville, Kentucky site.
