Wilderness Trail Wheated Bourbon is a Bottled in Bond Kentucky straight bourbon from Danville, in a 750ml bottle at 50% ABV. Bottled in Bond means it comes from one distilling season at one distillery and was aged at least four years in a bonded warehouse. The mashbill is 64% corn, 24% wheat and 12% malted barley, and the distillery ferments with fresh yeast alone, using sweet mash with no backset. The nose is oak and corn with citrus peel, baking spices, honey and vanilla. The palate is rich and creamy, with vanilla, caramel, charred oak, cinnamon and blood orange. The finish is long, with oak spice, toffee and dark fruit.
