This is a six-year-old straight rye whiskey from the Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is a single barrel bottling from white oak, cask 3654, which gave 188 bottles at a cask strength of 60.2%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no colouring added.
The nose has cinnamon and pepper alongside the rye, with caramel, vanilla, grassy hints and a little mint. Honey and dark fruit add to the rye sweetness on the palate, with oak spice and pepper in a full texture. The finish is long, with dry oak, caramel and subtle herbs.
