Willett Family Estate Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Kentucky, bottled after eight years of maturation from a single barrel, number 3908. The outturn was 187 bottles in 70cl size, filled at a cask strength of 57.2% ABV without chill-filtering or added colour.
The colour is a deep amber. Pronounced rye on the nose comes with mint and dill, leather and a little liquorice. The palate is full-bodied with pepper and dry oak, caramel and vanilla for sweetness, and dark cocoa for a bitter edge.
