This is a Willett Family Estate single barrel bourbon, aged 12 years and drawn from barrel #1584. It was chosen as a private pick for Lincoln Road and bottled at 61.7% ABV (123.4 proof), in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey was distilled on 7 November 2001, a date printed on the label. It was made at another Kentucky distillery rather than by Willett, whose own distilling at Bardstown only resumed in 2012, so the barrel was selected by Willett. The nose has deep caramel, vanilla bean, dark fruit, seasoned oak and baking spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with brown sugar, dark cherry, toasted oak and cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with mature oak, vanilla and spice.
