This is a twelve-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Family Estate, taken from barrel no. 776 and bottled by Willett Distillery in Bardstown at 60.3% ABV (120.6 proof). It was matured in hand-selected white oak.
It is a distillery gift shop selection, picked by Willett for sale at the distillery itself. Bottled from a single cask at full strength with no blending, it reflects that one barrel alone. It comes in the tall bottle with cream label, family crest and purple wax closure, with a matching presentation tube.
The nose offers caramelised sugar, vanilla bean, oak and dark cherry, with cinnamon, leather and tobacco. The palate runs from caramel and toffee to dark fruit and toasted oak, and the finish is long and warming.
