Willett Family Estate 13 Year Single Barrel Bourbon #1418 (75cl, 63.4%)

This is a 13 year old single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Family Estate, bottled from barrel 1418 at 63.4% ABV (126.8 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It comes in its original Willett presentation tube. It was not distilled by Willett. Willett did not resume distilling at Bardstown until 2012, so bourbon of this age under the Family Estate label was selected from other Kentucky producers and released one cask at a time. The typical profile is dark caramel, vanilla, brown sugar and seasoned oak, then dark fruit, baking spice, leather and a hint of tobacco. The finish runs long on caramelised sugar, oak spice and vanilla.
