This is a 15-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from a single barrel, number 4242, bottled by Willett Distillery in Bardstown at 56.8% ABV (113.6 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The barrel was chosen in a private selection for The Parlor Room, hosted by Drew and Pablo. The whiskey was distilled by another Kentucky producer, not by Willett, which only resumed distilling in 2012.
The nose offers deep caramel, vanilla bean, dark fruit and baking spice. On the palate come brown sugar, dark cherry, toffee and seasoned oak with cinnamon, and the finish is long and warming.
