This is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett's Family Estate range, aged for 19 years and bottled at 57.9% ABV (115.8 proof) from barrel 1583, in a 75cl bottle.
The whiskey was not distilled by Willett. Willett's own distillation restarted in 2012, so a bourbon of this age was sourced from another Kentucky producer and chosen barrel by barrel.
The nose is deep caramel, aged oak and vanilla with dark fruit, baking spice and hints of leather. The palate brings caramelised sugar, dark chocolate, dried fruit and warm spice, and the finish is long, with oak, vanilla and dark sweetness.
