Willett Family Estate 4 Year Bourbon (75cl, 62.5%)

Willett Family Estate 4 Year is a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at a cask strength of 62.5% in a 750ml bottle. It is four years old, matured in new charred American white oak. Two mashbills are blended: a traditional recipe of 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% malted barley, and a higher-rye one of 52% corn, 38% rye and 10% malted barley. The bourbon is barrelled at 125 proof and bottled without chill filtration. The nose offers caramel, vanilla, sweet corn and baking spices. Creamy caramel and toasted oak lead on the palate, with dark fruit, toffee and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is medium to long, with oak, black pepper and cinnamon.
