Willett Family Estate 4 Year Small Batch is a straight bourbon from the family-owned Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is bottled at a cask strength of 61.8% ABV.
Two house mash bills are blended: a traditional bourbon recipe that leans on corn sweetness, and a higher-rye one that adds spice. Around 50 barrels, aged for at least four years in new charred American oak, are hand-selected and married for each batch.
The nose brings warm corn sweetness, vanilla, caramel and toasted oak. On the palate come caramel, brown sugar and peppery rye, and the finish is moderately long, with drying oak and rye spice.
