Willett – Family Estate 6 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon #2097 (Joshua Thinnes Selection) (75cl, 61.8%)

This is a six-year-old Willett Family Estate single barrel bourbon, from barrel #2097, bottled at 61.8% (123.6 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It was bottled by Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. The barrel was hand-selected by Joshua Thinnes, whose name appears on a custom label. The age, barrel number and proof are written by hand on the label, and the whisky is bottled from the single cask at full strength. The nose is rich caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, dark fruit and baking spice. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with brown sugar, cinnamon and dark cherry, and the finish is long and warming, with oak, spice and dark caramel.
