This is a cask strength version of Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon, made in Kentucky from a wheated mash bill of 65% corn, 20% wheat and 15% barley. It went into the barrel at 115 proof.
It is a semi-annual release, tied to the Spring and Fall Equinox.
The nose brings caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, honey and brown sugar. The palate is rich and bold with caramelised sugar, vanilla bean, cinnamon and barrel char, and the finish is long and warming with oak, brown sugar and spice.
