Willett – Pot Still Reserve Cask Strength Bourbon (75cl, 65%)

Willett Pot Still Reserve Cask Strength is a wheated Kentucky bourbon from Willett in Bardstown, bottled uncut and unfiltered at full barrel strength. The mash bill is 65% corn, 20% wheat and 15% malted barley. It is released twice a year, on the spring and autumn equinoxes. Each release is a single cask-strength batch, so the proof changes from one to the next and the label gives the figure for that release. Tasting notes mention caramel, vanilla and oak wrapped in warm baking spice, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon and a little fresh mint, followed by a long, full-bodied finish of barrel spice.
