This is a 25-year-old blended Scotch whisky from William Grant & Sons, distilled in 1961 and bottled in 1986. It comes in a boxed Royal Doulton character jug decanter in ceramic, modelled by J. G. Tongue, in a 75cl size. The decanter was made in an edition of 5000 to mark 100 years since the foundation stone of the William Grant distillery was laid in 1887 by the company's founder, William Grant (1839-1923). The company remains independent and family-owned, run by the founder's descendants.
