William Larue Weller is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the W.L. Weller family, and this is the 2022 release, bottled at 124.7 proof (62.4%).
The nose brings musty oak, dark cherries, leather, molasses and toasted nuts. On the palate there is toffee, stewed dark fruit, funky dry oak, caramel chews, graham cracker and butterscotch, with a thick mouthfeel.
The finish is long, with heat upfront, then leather, tobacco, dark fruit, dry oak and a pop of cinnamon.
