Don Guido Solera Especial is a sweet Spanish Pedro Ximénez from Williams & Humbert, aged for 20 years by the solera method. It comes in a 50cl bottle, supplied in a tube.
The colour is a deep brown, close to black, with a glossy, viscous look. The nose is rich with dried figs, raisins, dark chocolate and a little roasted coffee, over old wood and sweet spice. The palate carries molasses, ripe fruit and chocolate in an opulent, velvety texture, kept in balance by a good acidity. The finish is very long, with echoes of vanilla and liquorice.
