Grand Duque d'Alba is an XO Solera Gran Reserva Brandy de Jerez from Williams & Humbert, in a 70cl bottle.
It is distilled at 65% in stills usually used for eaux-de-vie, then aged for 18 years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks using the dynamic Solera method.
The colour is deep, intense mahogany with glints of ebony. The nose is complex, with raisins, dried plums and vanilla, plus fine tertiary notes. The palate is majestic yet soft and velvety, and the aftertaste lasts a very long time.
