This is a 9 year old single malt from Laphroaig, bottled under the Williamson name by Càrn Mòr at 47.5% ABV. It was distilled in 2013 and matured in ex-bourbon hogsheads, with no extra finish. It is non-chill-filtered and uncoloured, limited to 1798 bottles.
The nose brings dry smoke, a salty sea breeze, and iodine and phenolic notes. The palate is powerful, with salty, iodine character and some smoke. The finish is long and smoky, lemony and salty, growing drier like a dying campfire.
