This is a Benriach distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2021 at 46% ABV by Wilson & Morgan, the Italian independent bottler. It is a classic Speyside malt.
After maturation it spent a further 12 months in first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for its finish.
The nose is malty, clean and floral, with a slight dryness. The palate is spicy from the start and nutty, with a little balsamic vinegar leading to light notes of dried fruit, peach and plum. The finish is dry and peppery with tannins.
