This is a Linkwood from Wilson & Morgan, matured for 14 years in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 57% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The colour is deep amber with old-gold glints, and the sherry casks account for much of its aromatic character.
On the nose there are dates and figs, dark chocolate and sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate opens powerful yet harmonious, with a rich texture, toasted malt, caramel and stewed dark fruit, and it closes on spiced wood.
